Office Building Cluster – Hudson Square (Manhattan)
Trinity Real Estate, owner of 40% of the building space in the Hudson Square area, first hired MCBG back in 2010. The firm has since performed retrofits on 13 of their commercial properties, evaluating them for heat generation and distribution and then modifying systems, such as boilers, burners, and controls, to improve overall performance and comply with current codes. MCBG has also updated the buildings’ DHW generation, and modified the DHW generators to work in conjunction with district steam for maximum efficiency and lower energy waste.
Recent Commercial Energy Retrofit: For this group of Hudson Square buildings, Metropolitan has been in charge of MEP whole-building retrofit.
Typical scope of work includes:

Evaluate mechanical systems and produce drawings to re-design and replace building HVAC serving the building major tenants and common areas.

Conceiving and designing creative onsite power generation
