Since 2007, the Central Park Conservancy has relied on MCBG’s expertise to improve the quality of the city’s backyard, updating playgrounds, ballfields, and horse stables. Starting with the Ancient Playground near the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which was not up to safety standards and required a number of fixes including new storm drainage and water service utilities, an updated comfort station, the construction of a stone wall along the south of the site, and new mechanical and electrical systems, the firm earned the Conservancy’s trust. In total, the firm has worked on 10 projects in Central Park.
